The PhD in pharmaceutical sciences offers you a rigorous grounding in a broad range of disciplines that are critical to your success as a pharmaceutical scientist in academy or industry. Especially advanced possibilities of complex pharmaceutical research are offered at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Szeged since its different institutes cover the whole spectrum of pharmaceutical research from the synthesis or isolation of biologically active compounds through their pharmacological or biopharmaceutical investigations to their formulation. Students can join different fields of pharmaceutical research according to their interests, and at the same time gain wide-ranging knowledge in the courses available in other fields as well.
The participants take part in courses (4-5 hours/week) in the first two years, and at the end of their courses they should pass the appropriate examinations. At the end of the third year, they take a final examination related to their own field, and write and defend their thesis.
The Doctoral School of Pharmaceutical Sciences is waiting for applicants specializing any pharmaceutical or related area, including pharmacists, chemists, biologists, and physicians.
